Gennady Krasnikov, President of the Russian Academy of Sciences (RAS), emphasized that artificial intelligence (AI) significantly aids scientific breakthroughs by accelerating the processing of vast datasets and identifying hidden correlations.
“Today, the winning scientific team and researcher are those who actively use the latest achievements in big data processing and correlation identification. As a result, unique combinations emerge that create breakthroughs in various fields,” explained the head of the RAS.
Krasnikov also mentioned the academy`s active involvement in national projects aimed at securing Russia`s technological leadership. Specifically, the RAS monitors the scientific and technical aspects of 19 national initiatives, including the nearly completed bioeconomy project.
“We have prepared our proposals to ensure that national project activities are focused on achieving technological leadership, rather than merely import substitution. We will be submitting these to each national project leader in the near future,” Krasnikov concluded.
