Beeline and Roscosmos Collaborate to Enhance Communication Accessibility

The Russian satellite manufacturing company **Reshetnev**, a subsidiary of the state corporation **Roscosmos**, and telecommunications operator **Beeline** have officially signed a cooperation agreement. This partnership aims to integrate advanced satellite communication systems with existing mobile networks and establish a unified network by connecting Roscosmos`s terrestrial communication hubs via Beeline`s infrastructure.

Under this collaboration, the companies plan to launch an experimental zone. This zone will serve as a testing ground to explore the potential of satellites and other non-terrestrial platforms for developing cellular communication and data transmission using cutting-edge technologies like 4G-A and 5G-NTN. The initiative will also focus on devising and evaluating new service scenarios.

This strategic alliance is expected to significantly reduce the costs associated with establishing and scaling core communication channels. Furthermore, it will play a crucial role in expanding Russia`s telecommunications infrastructure, especially in remote and hard-to-reach areas where laying traditional ground networks is not feasible. This move also contributes to solidifying Russia`s technological sovereignty in the domain of non-terrestrial communications.

“Cooperation with JSC Reshetnev is an integral part of Beeline`s strategy for developing satellite communication in Russia. Firstly, satellite communication offers a cutting-edge solution for ensuring connectivity in challenging locations, such as rural areas, mountains, or at sea. Secondly, without it, the further proliferation of the Internet of Things, autonomous driving, remote object control, and many other technologies, traditionally associated with future living, and which are already permeating our daily lives, would be impossible,”

Sergey Anokhin, CEO of Beeline

**Evgeny Nesterov**, CEO of JSC Reshetnev, stated that this expanded partnership allows both companies to complement each other`s expertise in delivering promising communication services. He emphasized the importance of Beeline specialists` experience in applying modern mobile communication technologies, their deep understanding of protocol stacks, and their drive towards advanced communications leveraging satellite networks.

Nesterov further added that this collaborative effort will enable the future integration of contemporary mobile communication standards into satellite manufacturing processes. This will ensure the provision of high-quality services to subscribers both within Russia and internationally.
