A French police officer endured a terrifying ordeal in French Guiana. According to information from the Cayenne public prosecutor’s office, the victim was kidnapped, then sequestered and tied to a tree before being whipped. Authorities have clarified, however, that these acts of violence were not related to her duties as a police officer.
