The French National Centre for Cinema and Animated Image (CNC) has announced the indefinite suspension of a €3 million annual fund designated for online content creators and streamers. This significant decision comes after the institution had initially scheduled to unveil a revised version of its support fund for digital creators.
Instead of the anticipated presentation, Pauline Augrain, the CNC’s Digital Director, delivered a crisis statement to a visibly surprised audience. The announcement confirms that the €3 million allocated annually for this initiative will now remain blocked indefinitely.
