CSKA remains the only team undefeated this year. Regarding former Krasnodar goalkeeper Safonov, rumors of his transfer to PSG remain unconfirmed. In head-to-head encounters with Krasnodar, CSKA has been successful, winning their last three matches without conceding, including the Super Cup. However, the pressure of a 20-match unbeaten streak in the RPL, ongoing since November last year, is mounting. To equal the club record set ten years ago under Leonid Slutsky, CSKA must hold strong on August 31st against the strongest team in the country.
