Journalists noted that builders do not necessarily need to follow the mantra, “the more random-access memory (RAM), the better.” While 16 gigabytes might occasionally prove insufficient for the most demanding modern titles, 32 gigabytes of memory is considered highly adequate for running the vast majority of new releases without issues.

Myth 2: Overclocking Utilities Are Always a Good Idea

Users were strongly cautioned against relying heavily on utility tools designed to push PC component characteristics beyond their factory settings (overclocking). Experts warned that “excessive surpassing of the computer`s thermal limits can lead to the failure or premature degradation of several components.”

Myth 3: You Must Always Buy the Latest GPU

Specialists also refuted the assertion that dedicated gamers must constantly strive to acquire the very latest generation of graphics cards. According to their findings, even GPUs like the Nvidia 40-series, which may have been released up to three years ago, remain perfectly suitable for smoothly running contemporary gaming applications.

Myth 4: High Refresh Rate Monitors (144Hz+) are Essential

In conclusion, the analysis stated there is often no genuine necessity to purchase the increasingly popular monitors boasting a 144 hertz refresh rate. Authors summarized that “120 or even 60 hertz is entirely sufficient for fluid operation, making the visual difference difficult, if not impossible, to perceive” for the average player.
