DJ Shadow Reflects on His Legacy with Endtroducing’s 30th Anniversary and New Mo’Wax Singles Box Set

As his landmark debut album, Endtroducing….., approaches its 30th anniversary, influential producer DJ Shadow is revisiting his acclaimed catalog. Following the successful 25th-anniversary reissue of Endtroducing, which was remastered at Abbey Road studios, Shadow is now curating a comprehensive collection of his earlier works.

Set for release in May, The Mo’Wax Singles 1993-1997 is an extensive box set, compiling eight 12-inch vinyl records featuring all of the Californian artist’s singles for James Lavelle’s Mo’Wax label. This meticulously assembled set also includes rare alternative mixes and freshly created artwork, all unearthed from original DAT tapes and master mixes.

Shadow emphasized the dedication behind the project, stating, “This box wasn’t made for the casual listener, it was made with the hardcore fan in mind. I’ve always felt, if something is worth doing, it’s worth doing right, and every step of the process was made with this philosophy firmly in mind.” This retrospective dive into his career finds DJ Shadow in a reflective mood, inviting fans to engage with his journey and submit their questions.
