Dmitry Bakanov, the head of Russia`s state space corporation Roscosmos, recently revealed that he is more frequently questioned by journalists about his ring than about his professional duties. This curious admission surfaced during an interview where Alexander Yunashev, a journalist from the news portal Life.ru, drew attention to a `smart ring` Bakanov was wearing on his ring finger – a digit typically associated with a wedding band.
In response to the journalist`s inquiry about why he wears the smart ring in such a prominent place, Bakanov stated, “I can put it on any finger, so as not to confuse anyone. I already get more questions about this ring than about my professional activities.” This statement was made in a video posted on Yunashev Live`s Telegram channel.
A `smart ring` is an advanced electronic device designed to be worn on a finger. It operates in conjunction with a smartphone, offering various functionalities such as health tracking, notification alerts, or contactless payments.
