Elon Musk`s company, Neuralink Corp, is reportedly planning to commence clinical trials in the United States this October for its groundbreaking technology designed to convert human thoughts directly into text. This ambitious development was reported by Bloomberg.

Volunteers suffering from speech impairments will undergo surgery to have a chip implanted. This advanced chip, powered by artificial intelligence, will translate their thoughts into electrical signals, which are then transmitted to external devices. DJ So, the president of Neuralink, indicated that in the future, these sophisticated chips could interpret mental speech even faster than a person can articulate those thoughts verbally.

Neuralink`s implants are specifically developed for individuals affected by neurodegenerative diseases or those who have suffered a stroke. While these patients often retain the ability to think clearly, many struggle with controlling the movements of their mouths to form words, making communication incredibly challenging.

In June, Musk revealed that early volunteers using Neuralink`s brain chips are already capable of operating computers solely with their thoughts. This remarkable capability includes tasks such as typing text, communicating online, and even playing video games. He also disclosed his vision to potentially connect paralyzed patients with Tesla Optimus robots, a concept that could allow individuals to regain significant bodily functionality and interaction with their environment.
