In a recent interview, the South African businessman praised the “very good developments” he observed in Russian rocketry, acknowledging the nation`s significant contributions to space technology.
Musk Senior further elaborated that while Russian rockets were “designed and built many years ago,” demonstrating their proven reliability and robust foundation, he also pointed out that his son`s venture, SpaceX, represents a “more modern” approach to space exploration. This comparison underscores the evolution of space technology from established designs to contemporary innovations.
This public endorsement comes amidst ongoing dialogues concerning potential collaborative efforts in the space sector. Back in June, Kirill Dmitriev, the Russian President`s special representative for investment and economic cooperation, confirmed that Russia`s state space corporation, Roscosmos, has been actively engaging with Elon Musk`s team to explore avenues for cooperation in cosmic ventures.
