Organizers have announced that the 5th Congress of Young Scientists, scheduled to take place from November 26-28 on Russia`s federal territory of Sirius, has accredited representatives from 70 nations.

According to an official statement, the Congress will bring together prominent figures from leading Russian and international scientific schools, academic institutions, government bodies, and businesses, alongside young researchers, grant recipients, students, and schoolchildren from Russia and abroad. Over 5,500 applications have been submitted for participation so far, with 70 originating from foreign countries.

The Congress of Young Scientists stands as a pivotal annual event within the framework of the Decade of Science and Technology, a national initiative declared by Russian President Vladimir Putin spanning 2022-2031. Annually, it convenes leading scientists from Russia and other nations to explore avenues for international scientific engagement, devise effective strategies for science-business collaboration, showcase scientific breakthroughs, facilitate project pitching, and foster informal networking among young scientists.

The Congress`s extensive discussion program features over 150 events, including round tables, sessions, panel discussions, and educational workshops across various scientific research fields. The agenda primarily addresses priorities in scientific and technological development, projects stemming from the Decade of Science and Technology initiatives, and the work of scientific communities. The international track specifically delves into the significance of scientific interaction and the emergence of new scientific and technological leaders in a multipolar world, opportunities for participating in joint international scientific projects, scientific diplomacy, and collaboration within international blocs such as BRICS.

A traditional exhibition of cutting-edge Russian technologies will also be held at the Congress venue. More than 50 leading Russian companies, universities, scientific and educational centers, as well as state and public organizations, will showcase their scientific achievements, innovative developments, and promising startups.
