Average daily temperatures in the final days of September are forecast to be below the climatic norm. During daylight hours, the maximum temperature will reach 12 degrees Celsius.
Moscow and the Moscow region will experience night frosts down to -4 degrees Celsius on the night of September 30th. Today, September 27th, the region is expected to see rainfall in the afternoon, with air temperatures reaching up to +12 degrees Celsius.
Anatoly Tsygankov, head of the Russian Hydrometeorological Center`s department, provided further details:
“Currently, an atmospheric front is moving from the north, expected to reach Moscow around 3 PM, bringing rains that will last until approximately 3 AM. The following week, a high-pressure ridge will bring dry, moderately cool weather. It won`t be warm, but rather chilly. Sunday will see cloudy skies with clearings, while from Monday to Friday, variable cloudiness is predicted. Friday will feature partly cloudy, dry weather. Nighttime temperatures will range from -2 to +3 degrees Celsius. Freezing temperatures are most likely on the night of Tuesday to Wednesday. Subsequently, temperatures will rise slightly to +2 to +7 degrees at night, and +7 to +12 degrees during the day. In rural areas, temperatures might drop to +7 degrees, whereas in central Moscow, it could reach +12 degrees. Overall, we anticipate normal, dry weather with minor night frosts.”
