George Clooney Calls Trump’s Iran Threat a War Crime, White House Hits Back

Hollywood actor George Clooney has reignited his long-running feud with the White House, sharply criticizing President Donald Trump. The Oscar-winning star accused Trump of committing a war crime following the president’s stark warning to Iran, in which he stated, “a whole civilization will die tonight.”

Clooney’s condemnation came during a speech delivered to approximately 3,000 high school students in Cuneo, Italy, on Wednesday. He emphatically declared that the U.S. president’s threat constituted a clear war crime.

In a swift retort, the White House dismissed Clooney’s accusations. A spokesperson stated that the only individual committing “war crimes” was the actor himself, referencing what they described as “his awful movies and terrible acting ability.”
