Interstellar Object 3I/ATLAS, discovered on July 1, 2025.
Harvard scientist Avi Loeb has issued a warning that a mysterious interstellar object, named 3I/ATLAS, is projected to approach Earth by late 2025. According to reports from Daily Mail, this celestial body is currently traversing our Solar System.
Professor Loeb has been actively tracking the 3I/ATLAS object since its initial detection on July 1st. His projections indicate that its closest proximity to Earth will occur between November 21 and December 5, 2025.
The academic suggests the intriguing possibility that the object could be an extraterrestrial vessel, potentially carrying a probe or even a form of weaponry. Furthermore, its remarkably large dimensions have been highlighted as an unusual characteristic for an object originating from beyond our Solar System.
