Former BBC presenter Huw Edwards has strongly criticized Channel 5 for airing a drama depicting his downfall without first verifying the facts with him. Edwards asserted that the production company, Wonderhood, also failed to reach out for his perspective or to check the accuracy of its portrayal.
Edwards, who was a leading news anchor, was suspended from his duties in 2023. This suspension came after a report published by The Sun newspaper, which alleged he had paid a teenager £35,000 for intimate images and conversations.
