During an Oscars afterparty, legendary actress Jane Fonda light-heartedly questioned the choice of Barbra Streisand to present the tribute to the late Robert Redford at Sunday night’s Academy Awards. Fonda, known for her four cinematic collaborations with Redford, expressed a playful desire to have delivered the speech herself.
She pointed out to a red carpet reporter, “I want to know how come Streisand was up there doing that for Redford?” With a chuckle, Fonda contrasted her extensive work with Redford—”I made four [movies with him]…”—against Streisand’s single film, concluding, “…I have more to say.”
