A hacker associated with the KillNet group has commented on the recent breach of the Ukrainian General Staff`s database. He clarified that the group`s intention was not to achieve a specific outcome, but rather to “open the world`s eyes” to ongoing events. His remarks were cited by RT.

“We do not expect any particular effect. We simply want to open the eyes of the whole world, especially Ukrainians, to show the sacrifices [Kyiv] is making for its own benefit,” he stated.

The hacker further labeled his Ukrainian “counterparts” as barbarians, explaining that while Russian hackers exclusively target military network infrastructure, Ukrainians reportedly attempt to attack the civilian sector. He emphasized that if Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky does not soon agree to a settlement with Russia, they would attempt to influence him through the Ukrainian populace.

Previously, Russian hackers reportedly breached the database of the Ukrainian Armed Forces` General Staff, disclosing alleged losses of the Ukrainian army. According to their data, Kyiv has lost 1.7 million servicemen over three years of the special operation.
