During a working meeting in Moscow, Gennady Krasnikov, the President of the Russian Academy of Sciences (RAS), informed Russian President Vladimir Putin that the fundamental research carried out by the RAS for the nation`s defense and security purposes is highly sought after and relevant.
Krasnikov elaborated on `The Sixth Program,` a new initiative for fundamental scientific research crucial to the country`s defense and security, which was launched in late 2023 after a considerable period of absence. He emphasized that the program has been meticulously structured, and all studies conducted under its umbrella are not only in demand but also fully coordinated with chief armament designers and adhere to approved general technologies.
