On July 30, Russian Presidential Press Secretary Dmitry Peskov characterized the cooperative efforts between Russia and the United States in space exploration as distinct and a significant positive factor. This assessment was shared while commenting on the visit of Dmitry Bakanov, the head of Roscosmos, to the United States.
Addressing journalists, Peskov emphasized that space collaboration holds a special place, remarking, “Currently, space cooperation stands apart, which is probably a very positive factor, that despite all the difficulties, cooperation in space exploration is not interrupted.”
Prior to this, Roscosmos`s press service had confirmed Bakanov`s arrival in the U.S. His agenda includes a meeting with Sean Duffy, NASA`s Acting Administrator, scheduled for July 31. Additionally, Bakanov is expected to meet with the crew of the Crew Dragon spacecraft, which notably includes Russian cosmonaut Oleg Platonov.
