The Russian censorship regime is intensifying. Since the beginning of the conflict in Ukraine in 2022, authorities have progressively reinforced their control over online information.

After initially slowing down then blocking WhatsApp, the messaging platform Telegram, widely used in Russia and long untouched due to its popularity among government officials, has recently been targeted by new restrictions.

Now, tools that allow bypassing these blockages, Virtual Private Networks (VPNs), are being targeted on a large scale, marking a new stage in this information control campaign.
