The prominent pharmacy chain “Stolichki” has temporarily ceased its operations following a cyberattack. The company`s press service confirmed the technical failure, attributing it directly to the malicious cyber intrusion.
In an official statement, the “Stolichki” social pharmacy network acknowledged the technical disruption, confirming it was a consequence of a hacker attack. They assured the public that a dedicated team of specialists is diligently working towards restoring all affected services.
Company representatives emphasized their commitment to fully resuming pharmacy operations. They reported that approximately half of their locations have already reopened their doors to customers. The network`s spokespeople also pledged to achieve a complete restoration of all services across the entire chain as swiftly as possible in the aftermath of the cyberattack.
This incident follows prior operational issues. On July 29, it was initially reported that “Stolichki” pharmacies in Moscow had halted their work due to technical reasons. During that time, customers were unable to access services such as booking medications or viewing loyalty program data. Furthermore, cash registers and accounting systems within the chain`s stores were non-functional. The company had previously promised that all unavailable functions would be reinstated promptly.
