A prominent Russian medical clinic network, known as “Semeiny Doktor” (Family Doctor), has reportedly become the latest victim of a significant cyberattack. According to reports from Shot, this network has been targeted by unidentified hackers, leading to the potential permanent loss of its crucial patient database. As a consequence of the breach, medical professionals within the network are currently compelled to revert to manual record-keeping for all patient consultations.

The official online portal for the “Semeiny Doktor” clinic network is presently inaccessible following the cybersecurity incident, further indicating the severity of the attack`s impact on their operations.

It is important to clarify that another polyclinic network, which also operates under the name “Semeiny Doktor,” has issued a statement confirming that its operations remain unaffected and are proceeding as normal. Representatives from this distinct polyclinic network communicated via Telegram that the recent media reports concerning a cyberattack do not pertain to their systems, and they assure the public that their patient data remains secure and uncompromised.

This incident with “Semeiny Doktor” is not an isolated event but follows a series of recent cyberattacks that have impacted significant Russian entities. For instance, on July 29, the well-known pharmacy chain “Stolichki” also announced that it had fallen victim to a hacker attack. The company`s press service has since provided assurances that they are actively working to restore the network`s full functionality as swiftly as possible.

Just one day prior, on July 28, the operations of the national airline “Aeroflot” were severely disrupted, leading to the cancellation of dozens of scheduled flights. The airline was forced to advise passengers who had purchased tickets not to proceed to airports due to the widespread cancellations. Subsequently, a group of hackers claimed responsibility for causing the substantial service interruption experienced by Aeroflot.
