Mishustin Orders Development of Comprehensive Science Management Model in Russia

Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin has directed the development of a comprehensive model for managing science within the Russian Federation. Proposals for this new framework are expected to be submitted to the government by March 23, 2026.

This integrated model aims to ensure the alignment and effective execution of the nation`s state scientific and technical, technological, and industrial policies. Mishustin issued this directive following a strategic session focused on the `Science Development Model`.

The preparation of these crucial proposals will be handled by several key ministries, including the Ministry of Education and Science, the Ministry of Economic Development, the Ministry of Industry and Trade, the Ministry of Health, and the Ministry of Finance, alongside the Russian Academy of Sciences.
