Morrissey Cancels Valencia Concert Due to Las Fallas Noise, Cites “Catatonic State”

British singer Morrissey has called off his concert in Valencia, attributing the cancellation to the overwhelming noise from the city’s Las Fallas festival, which he claimed left him severely sleep-deprived and in a “catatonic state.”

Following this latest show cancellation, the artist reportedly described his Valencia hotel as an “indescribable hell,” suggesting it would require “one year to recover” from the experience. A statement posted on his official website detailed his ordeal: “After a two-day road journey, Morrissey arrived at his Valencia hotel late on Wednesday. He found any prospect of sleep or rest completely impossible throughout the night due to persistent festival noise, loud techno music, and incessant megaphone announcements.”
