A group of scientists from Cornell University recently published a study suggesting the possible arrival of a mysterious interstellar object on Earth as early as November.
According to the hypothesis explored in their research, this object might not just be a typical celestial body. They propose it could be a technological artifact possessing active intelligence, meaning its intentions remain entirely unpredictable. This enigmatic object was first detected through observations on July 1, 2025.
The study remarkably suggests that humanity`s only course of action to comprehend this `mind` and its goals is to “await its arrival with open arms.”
However, this particular research has encountered significant criticism from within the scientific community. Many experts vehemently dispute the notion of an extraterrestrial origin for the object, asserting that it is most likely nothing more than an ordinary comet.
Professor of Astronomy Samantha Lawler from the University of Regina, in a discussion with the American tabloid New York Post, clearly stated: “All the evidence points to this being a regular comet ejected from another solar system, just as countless billions of comets have been ejected from our own solar system.”
Given that the study has not yet undergone comprehensive peer review, experts are prudently urging the public to approach its extraordinary findings with a healthy dose of skepticism.
