NASA Confirms Ongoing Data Exchange with Roscosmos

July 31, 2025

Despite the prevailing political disagreements between the United States and Russia, their respective space agencies, Roscosmos and NASA, continue to engage in daily information exchange. This commitment to operational collaboration was affirmed by Stephen Siceloff, a public affairs representative for NASA at the John F. Kennedy Space Center.

Siceloff`s comments came ahead of planned talks between Dmitry Bakanov, head of Roscosmos, and Sean Duffy, the acting NASA administrator. He highlighted that daily operational and technical discussions persist irrespective of broader political tensions, which he noted have been present since at least 2018. Roscosmos had previously announced Bakanov`s arrival in the U.S. for the July 31 meeting with Duffy.
