WASHINGTON — Stephen Siceloff, a Public Affairs Officer at the John F. Kennedy Space Center, declared that the International Space Station (ISS) exemplifies successful international collaboration. He highlighted that the experience gained from this ambitious project could serve as a vital foundation for future joint space endeavors.
Siceloff`s remarks were made in Washington on July 31, in anticipation of upcoming discussions between Dmitry Bakanov, head of the Russian space agency Roscosmos, and Sean Duffy, the acting head of NASA.
“The ISS is an example of international cooperation. It can be used for new projects,” Siceloff affirmed.
Earlier, Roscosmos’s press service confirmed that Dmitry Bakanov had arrived in the United States. In addition to his planned talks with Sean Duffy on July 31, Bakanov is also scheduled to meet with the crew of the Crew Dragon spacecraft, which includes Russian cosmonaut Oleg Platonov.
