ODK-Kuznetsov to Produce 600 RD-107A Engines, Says Roscosmos Head

During a visit to the enterprise, Dmitry Bakanov, the head of Roscosmos, informed Russian President Vladimir Putin that ODK-Kuznetsov, a subsidiary of Rostec corporation, plans to manufacture 600 RD-107A rocket engines over the next seven years.

Bakanov highlighted that the RD-107A engine is the most in-demand for Soyuz-2.1 rockets. He noted that 10,000 such engines have been produced throughout history, underscoring their high reliability. According to him, an additional 600 units will be produced in the upcoming seven years.

The liquid-propellant rocket engines, models RD-107A and RD-108A, are developed and manufactured by ODK-Kuznetsov in Samara. These engines have been in serial production for over half a century, demonstrating a long-standing commitment to quality and performance in the space industry.
