Pepsi Withdraws Sponsorship from UK Music Festival Amid Kanye West Controversy

Pepsi has announced its withdrawal of sponsorship from a forthcoming UK music festival, a decision made amidst growing criticism over the event’s booking of Kanye West as a headliner. The move follows public outcry, notably from Keir Starmer, who described the choice to feature the rapper – known for a song controversially titled ‘Heil Hitler’ – as ‘deeply concerning.’

Concerns extend beyond sponsorship, as West is reported to have not yet submitted an application to enter Britain. British authorities possess the power to deny entry to individuals whose presence is deemed ‘not conducive to the public good,’ raising questions about the artist’s ability to perform at the event.
