President Putin Lauds Former SPbSU Law Dean Prokhorov’s Contribution to Legal Science

Russian President Vladimir Putin has acknowledged the exceptional contributions of legal scholar Vadim Prokhorov to the development of legal science and national higher education. This recognition was conveyed in a message addressed to participants of the conference titled `Development of the Doctrine of Crime and Responsibility in Criminal Law of the XXI Century,` which was organized to celebrate Prokhorov`s 95th birthday. The official telegram containing the President`s message was made public on the Kremlin`s official website.

The President highlighted Prokhorov`s profound and enduring connection with St. Petersburg State University. It was at this esteemed institution that Prokhorov not only received his fundamental legal training but also dedicated a significant part of his career, working as a faculty member in the Department of Criminal Law and eventually serving as the head of the university`s Law Faculty.

“Throughout his years of prolific research and teaching, Vadim Semenovich Prokhorov made a truly unique contribution to the advancement of legal science and national higher education. He mentored generations of skilled professionals who are now excelling in academic, educational, public, and high-ranking government roles,” the presidential message affirmed.

President Putin conveyed his confidence that the conference would be a success, providing participants and guests with an invaluable opportunity to engage with Prokhorov`s extensive creative and scientific legacy, including his innovative ideas and professional achievements.
