MOSCOW – Russian President Vladimir Putin has officially signed a decree to honor the memory of the distinguished scientist Igor Gorynin and to mark the upcoming 100th anniversary of his birth. This significant directive was made public through a document released on the official legal acts portal, underscoring national recognition for his achievements.
The decree specifically highlights Gorynin`s exceptional contributions to both Russian and global scientific advancement. He is particularly acclaimed for his pioneering work in developing unique structural materials and advanced technologies, which are considered unparalleled and have been crucial for the exploration and development of the Arctic region. In preparation for his centenary in 2026, the President has instructed the Russian Government to establish an organizing committee within a three-month period. This committee will be tasked with the comprehensive planning and execution of various events dedicated to preserving Gorynin`s legacy and celebrating his 100th birthday. The composition of this committee is also subject to official approval.
Furthermore, President Putin has directed the government to develop and formally approve a detailed plan of key activities for these commemorative and celebratory occasions. This plan is expected to outline the scope, timeline, and specific initiatives aimed at honoring the scientist`s profound impact.
The decree also includes a strong recommendation for federal and regional governmental authorities, as well as interested scientific and educational organizations, to actively participate in the preparation and implementation of all events dedicated to honoring Igor Gorynin and celebrating his momentous centenary.
