Russian President Vladimir Putin has announced plans for the active implementation of digital technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), in the country`s agro-industrial complex. This statement was made in his address on the occasion of Agriculturist`s Day and the Processing Industry Worker`s Day.
In his congratulations to agricultural workers, whose professional holiday is celebrated on October 12, the head of state emphasized the importance of production robotization and the widespread use of AI. According to him, these measures are aimed at significantly increasing the efficiency and technological advancement of the agrarian sector.
To achieve these ambitious plans, Putin noted, it is critically important to ensure the training of qualified personnel for agricultural science and production, as well as to organize retraining for existing specialists. In this regard, the system of vocational education will continue to be improved, opportunities for attracting talented youth will be expanded, and modern, well-paid jobs will be created in agriculture.
Previously, the president also spoke about the potential application of artificial intelligence in government structures and the Central Bank, consistently emphasizing that the ultimate responsibility for decision-making must remain with human beings.
