Filmmaker Quentin Tarantino has robustly addressed Rosanna Arquette’s recent criticism regarding his extensive use of the N-word in his films, particularly “Pulp Fiction.” Tarantino stated that Arquette’s remarks demonstrated “a decided lack of class,” expressing his feeling of disrespect.
The director, whose film Arquette appeared in, also hinted at cynical motivations behind her recent public statements. In a powerful statement shared with various media outlets, Tarantino directly challenged Arquette. He questioned, “I hope the publicity you’re getting from 132 different media outlets writing your name and printing your picture was worth disrespecting me and a film I remember quite clearly you were thrilled to be a part of?” He further accused Arquette of exhibiting “a decided lack of class, no less honour,” by criticizing the film “for what I suspect is very cynical reasons” after having accepted payment for her role.
