Quiz books are the answer to falling non-fiction sales, data shows

While many non-fiction genres face declining sales, quiz books presented a notable exception in 2025, achieving their highest sales figures since tracking began in 1998. Data from NielsenIQ BookData reveals that consumer spending on quiz titles surged by nearly a quarter last year. This remarkable performance positions quiz books as a standout success, defying broader publishing trends. Interestingly, Bibles also experienced a significant boost in popularity during the same period, contributing to a diverse landscape of top-selling non-fiction.
