BREVARD COUNTY, Florida, USA — Dmitry Bakanov, Director General of Roscosmos, has announced his intention to hold discussions with Sean Duffy, NASA`s acting chief, regarding future collaboration plans. These plans specifically include the establishment of a Russian orbital station and various deep-space missions.
Bakanov informed journalists that “despite the ongoing sanction-related issues, several of our space programs, especially those involving human spaceflight, have been exempted from restrictions. We currently engage in joint operations of the International Space Station and conduct integrated cross-flights. Furthermore, we have development plans for continued interaction, encompassing both the Russian orbital station and deep-space exploration efforts. All these subjects will be on the agenda for tomorrow`s meeting with Sean Duffy.”
As previously noted by Roscosmos, Bakanov`s negotiations with NASA`s acting head, Sean Duffy, are scheduled for Thursday, July 31. This upcoming meeting will mark the first in-person encounter between the leaders of Russia`s and the United States` space agencies in eight years.
