MOSCOW, July 28

Satellites designated for development by private sector companies as part of Russia`s National Space Project are projected to incur costs ranging from 1 to 2 billion rubles each. This information was disclosed by Dmitry Bakanov, the Director-General of Roscosmos, during his appearance on the RBC television channel.

Bakanov elaborated that these figures specifically pertain to Earth remote sensing spacecraft, which are currently under development and production by entities such as Sitronics, Stilsoft, and BARL. He underscored the substantial nature of these financial commitments, clarifying that these are considerable private investments being attracted by the state corporation, in addition to already allocated public funds, in response to inquiries about Roscosmos`s strategy for engaging private capital.
