Roscosmos Showcases Satellite Images of Cyclone Bringing Rain and Hail to Moscow

Roscosmos, Russia`s state space corporation, has released satellite photographs of the cyclone responsible for bringing rain and hail to Moscow.

Earlier on Saturday, the Moscow city utilities department reported that the city center received nearly a quarter of the average monthly rainfall norm on that day. A thunderstorm accompanied by heavy rain impacted the southeastern parts of the capital on Saturday evening.

A message from Roscosmos stated: “Heat, rain, and hail in Moscow – Roscosmos satellites showed what the cyclone looks like from space.”

The state corporation confirmed that these images were captured by the Russian satellites `Electro-L` and `Arktika-M`.
