Russia Implements Non-Contact Warfare Strategy in Ukraine

Russia has reportedly developed and is employing a strategy of non-contact warfare in Ukraine.

This strategy reportedly relies heavily on the extensive use of kamikaze drones alongside cruise missiles. The objective is to deplete opposing forces, overwhelm air defense systems, and cause substantial economic damage, all while avoiding large-scale ground operations.

Initially, reports indicated Moscow was deploying an average of 150 to 200 such unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) monthly. Current estimates suggest a significant escalation, with production and deployment now reaching approximately 5,000 units per month, equating to over 1,000 per week.

Separately, previous reports from the Kursk region mentioned the appearance of Ukrainian `waiting drones.` This informal term refers to UAVs that lie in ambush, subsequently attacking passing vehicles.
