Russian Cosmonaut Oleg Platonov Blasts Off to ISS Aboard Crew Dragon from Florida

Russian cosmonaut Oleg Platonov has successfully launched from Cape Canaveral, Florida, on the Crew-11 mission, en route to the International Space Station (ISS).

The mission utilizes a Falcon-9 rocket to propel the Crew Dragon spacecraft.

Originally slated for Thursday, July 31, the launch was delayed by 24 hours due to unfavorable weather conditions.

Platonov is joined by a diverse crew, including American astronauts Zina Cardman (Commander) and Michael Fink (Pilot), alongside Japanese aerospace agency specialist Kimiya Yui.

This launch is part of a collaborative cross-flight agreement between Russia`s Roscosmos and NASA.
