The remarkable feat was officially announced by Fedor Konyukhov through his Telegram channel. Piloting the “PhosAgro” hot-air balloon, the duo not only reached the impressive height of 10,464 meters but also continued their ascent during the initial phases of the record-setting flight, solidifying their place in history.

This new national achievement significantly surpasses the previous record. The prior benchmark was set on May 30, 2019, by another Russian pilot, Vitaly Nenashev, who reached an altitude of 10,266 meters.
