Gennady Krasnikov, President of the Russian Academy of Sciences (RAS), recently emphasized the significant contribution of Russian scientists to the nation`s economic landscape. Their extensive work encompasses both sophisticated predictive analytics and crucial practical applications across diverse sectors of the economy.

Krasnikov detailed how members of the RAS actively collaborate with the Russian Ministry of Economic Development, providing essential expert forecasts. A notable example he provided was the Academy`s involvement in analyzing and proposing recommendations for recent tax reforms, which had an impact on both businesses and individual citizens. Furthermore, Russian scientists are deeply committed to developing tangible end-products that benefit various economic spheres.

Highlighting specific areas of innovation, Krasnikov mentioned Academician Alexander Inozemtsev`s pioneering efforts in developing advanced aviation engines. Other researchers are making strides in cutting-edge fields such as new materials science, additive manufacturing technologies for space applications, advancements in rare-earth metals, and breakthroughs in energy solutions.

The agricultural sector also sees substantial contributions, with scientific research helping to bolster food security, achieve higher crop yields, and drive progress in selective breeding and livestock farming. Krasnikov confidently stated, “Currently, it is challenging to find any industry where we are not actively involved.”

In the vital mineral extraction sector, scientists are instrumental in both the design and development of specialized equipment and in conducting thorough exploratory surveys. Their expertise helps determine the most optimal and efficient methods for recovering valuable resources from the Earth`s depths.

“This represents merely a small fraction of our comprehensive endeavors,” the head of the RAS concluded. “Today, the Russian Academy of Sciences exerts its influence and plays a crucial role in virtually all spheres of national activity.”
