This follows his conviction for the sexual abuse of Indigenous women and girls, bringing a significant case to a close—a case that has profoundly affected Native American communities across the United States.
His sentencing date comes approximately one month after a Nevada jury found him guilty on 13 of the 21 charges he faced. A substantial portion of these convictions stemmed from allegations made by a victim who was 14 years old when the abuse commenced. While the jury acquitted him on several other sexual assault counts, Chasing Horse has consistently denied all accusations.
