Sentencing Scheduled for ‘Dances With Wolves’ Actor Nathan Chasing Horse Following Sexual Abuse Convictions

Nathan Chasing Horse, recognized for his role in the acclaimed film Dances With Wolves, is scheduled to be sentenced next Wednesday. This follows his conviction for the sexual abuse of Indigenous women and girls, bringing a significant case to a close—a case that has profoundly affected Native American communities across the United States.

His sentencing date comes approximately one month after a Nevada jury found him guilty on 13 of the 21 charges he faced. A substantial portion of these convictions stemmed from allegations made by a victim who was 14 years old when the abuse commenced. While the jury acquitted him on several other sexual assault counts, Chasing Horse has consistently denied all accusations.
