The European Union Bans AI-Generated Images from Official Communications

The European Commission, through its spokesperson Thomas Regnier, confirmed that visual content (photos and videos) made available to journalists or used for official communications must no longer be generated by artificial intelligence. This decision primarily aims to restore public trust at a time when AI technologies are rapidly proliferating across the internet. The initiative seeks to establish a clear distinction between authentic and artificially created content.
