Two Lost 1965 Doctor Who Episodes Released After Being Found in Private Collection

Two long-lost episodes of Doctor Who, originating from the William Hartnell era in 1965, have officially been released following their unexpected discovery within a private film collection. These rare installments, which haven’t been seen publicly since their initial broadcast, comprise parts one and three of the largely missing 12-part adventure titled ‘The Daleks’ Master Plan’.

The saga was penned by Dalek creator Terry Nation and originally aired as part of Doctor Who’s third series in November 1965. Released on Friday, these rediscovered episodes feature Peter Purves in his role as the Doctor’s companion, offering fans a unique opportunity to revisit a significant and previously inaccessible chapter of the show’s early history.
