UK Minister Says Kanye West Should Not Perform at Wireless Festival

A senior UK government minister has expressed strong disapproval regarding Kanye West’s (now known as Ye) potential performance at the Wireless festival, following his past antisemitic statements. Bridget Phillipson, the Education Secretary, described the rapper’s remarks as “completely unacceptable and absolutely disgusting.”

Phillipson emphasized the imperative that there is “no place for that kind of hatred, bigotry or antisemitism” in society. While she declined to comment on specific calls for ministers to prevent West from entering the country, her stance on his comments remained unequivocally firm, underscoring the severity of the issue.
