UK music industry figures call for more black talent in executive roles

Leading figures within the UK music industry are intensifying their calls for greater support and inclusion of Black talent in executive positions. This urgent appeal follows findings that Black music has generated a significant 80% of the industry’s revenue – an estimated £24.5 billion out of a total £30 billion – over the last three decades. Despite this substantial financial contribution, key industry voices underscore the ongoing challenge of Black individuals being largely excluded from top-tier leadership and executive roles.
