British singer Dua Lipa is taking legal action against Samsung, demanding at least $15 million in damages. She claims the electronics giant repeatedly used a photograph of her on its television packaging without her financial compensation or explicit permission.
According to a legal complaint filed in a US district court in California, Samsung reportedly began utilizing an image of Lipa displayed on a TV screen printed on the cardboard packaging for a substantial number of its televisions sold in the United States last year.
