Madonna has revealed plans for her 15th studio album, titled “Confessions II.” This new work serves as a follow-up to her acclaimed 2005 release, “Confessions on a Dance Floor,” which is widely considered a standout in her extensive discography.
The album is slated for release on July 3rd. While specific details are still emerging, it has been confirmed that, much like its predecessor, “Confessions II” will feature a collaboration with British producer Stuart Price.
Madonna shared her artistic vision for the project, stating, “When Stuart Price and I first started working on this record, this was our manifesto: We must dance, celebrate, and pray with our bodies. These are things that we’ve been doing for thousands of years — they really are spiritual practices.”
She further elaborated on the concept, describing the dance floor as “a ritualistic space where movement replaces language.” Madonna views it as a place for self-connection, addressing vulnerability and the emotional landscape. She highlights raving as an art form that involves pushing personal boundaries and fostering a sense of community with like-minded individuals.
The album’s thematic elements are further explored through poetic descriptions:
- “Sound, light, and vibration”
- “Reshape our perceptions”
- “Pulling us into a trance-like state.”
- “The repetition of the bass, we don’t just hear it but we feel it.”
- “Altering our consciousness and dissolving ego and time.”
