Nazi Looted Portrait Found in Dutch SS Leader’s Family Home

An artwork stolen by the Nazis, previously part of the esteemed Goudstikker collection, has been found in the residence of the descendants of a prominent Dutch SS collaborator. Art detective Arthur Brand revealed that the painting, a “Portrait of a Young Girl” by Dutch artist Toon Kelder, is thought to have been in the family home of Hendrik Seyffardt for many years. Brand described this discovery as “the most bizarre case of my entire career.”
