Turner Prize 2026 Shortlist Announced by Tate Britain

Tate Britain has unveiled the artists nominated for the prestigious Turner Prize in 2026. The shortlist showcases a “rich and diverse range of work” from four compelling artists: Simeon Barclay, Tanoa Sasraku, Kira Freije, and Marguerite Humeau.

Among the nominees is Simeon Barclay, recognized for his performance piece “The Ruin,” an hour-long spoken-word exploration of his Huddersfield upbringing. Tanoa Sasraku also secured a nomination for her solo exhibition titled “Morale Patch.”

Joining them on the shortlist are Kira Freije, nominated for her debut major solo exhibition, “Unspeak the Chorus,” and Marguerite Humeau, acknowledged for her solo exhibition “Torches.”
